A teenage girl was electrocuted after dropping her laptop into the bath as she twittered in the tub.

I need to keep this brief since it is Twitter style, so…AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH

Flavia Boricea (incorrectly named on some sites as Maria Barbu) is believed to have been electrocuted while trying to plug her laptop in to continue a Twitter session interrupted by a flat battery. Reports on how she was electrocuted aren’t precise: Romanian State television said that the electrocution was due to her having wet hands, although other reports suggest the laptop fell into the bath.

1 - I am shocked (see what I did there?) that they even have the internet in Romania.

2 - What could a 17 year old have to say that could possibly be that important?

3 - AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

She was found dead in the bathtub by her parents, with her laptop lying next to her.

Now that is embarrassing. If I were her parents I wouldn’t have mentioned the Twitter part to the police.

She was Romanian, so nobody really cares.

I care and I’m not Romanian
Maybe someday you’ll Darwinize yourself and the world will trivialize your existence?

I’m not sure why you’d care…but for the sake of argument I’ll bite.

Why do you care, Doug? Is getting electrocuted because you’ve been twittering in the bathtub something you have to worry about all of a sudden? Did this article shed some new light to how you perceive electronics, science, and the world around you?

Rob, you have to remember that we’re obligated to care about everybody who dies, regardless of whether or not we know them, or if they’ve had even the slightest meaningful impact on our lives, or if they live halfway around the world, or if they brought death upon themselves courtesy of a hilariously stupid and easily preventable accident, or if that death was caused by their incessant need to spew the mundane moment-to-moment happenings of their lives into the ether.

People are dying, Rob. Don’t you understand how important that is?

Dude, when have you ever known of a 17-year-old who didn’t think EVERYTHING they said was of vital importance. Hell, she’s probably in idiot hell right now thinking “Like, totally worth it LOL”

Oh yeah, and you should care Rob, because Romania, lying in Eastern Europe as it does, has some fine women. Every electrocuted 17-year-old is one more girl who can’t end up on this search result:

Well if she had electricity in Romania, I guess she had to have been important, right?
